Aikido
Aikido is a Japanese martial art. Because most of what you learn in aikido is transmitted nonverbally, it's probably pointless for me to try and describe it. It's sort of an organized, incredibly harmonious, graceful, non-competitive puppy fight.
If you're curious, stop by
a dojo near you and watch a class (it's OK to stop in and watch at all the dojos
on this page, and many others). But be careful: you might end up trying it, and having
so much fun that you end up doing it for years or even the rest of your life. This
has happened.
