I’m reading and paneling at WisCon 41!

The Smokey Wizard Bacon Files Friday, 9-10:15 pm, Conference 2, with David Engelstad, C. L. Ford, and David Gallay.
These are the folks from my writing group, the people who made my good books way better. David Engelstad is celebration the publication of his new bookA Call of Moonhart, and C. L. Ford is reading a story that will make you cry and be all happy inside too. Look for my hand-printed posters, the first printing block I’ve carved in years.

Living with Climate Change Sunday, 1-2:15 pm, Conference 2, with Annalee Newitz, author of Scatter, Adapt, and Remember, Sharee Renee Thomas, and our excellent moderator Juliana. Judging from our email conversation so far this promises to be one of the most exciting panels of the convention, just from the sheer brainpower assembled, and the diverse viewpoints we’re coming from. Plus everyone on here is a badass. Seriously.

Also important: Taking Care of Ourselves, Friday, 10:30-11:45, Assembly, a panel featuring Nancy Jane Moore, aikidoka, writer, and self-defense thinker. I cannot recommend this panel enough: she introduces ways of thinking about self defense that don’t require a black belt (or even many sober neurons, given the panel’s time slot) to understand. I’ll be in the audience, high on adrenaline from the reading.
